This fall has been a busy season in the M&A market and for Stump & Company. We have closed 2 transactions over the past 2 months, and have two more nearing completion in the weeks ahead. We have observed a compelling balance of buyers and sellers in all furniture industry sectors.
There are strong strategic buyers that are interested in growth and diversification of products. Private equity companies have invested in the space, which indicates that there is likely additional investment to follow.
And finally, Asian money continues to seek US investment, and is attracted to the growth in the hospitality industry. There is greater sophistication in acquisition strategy among prospective buyers, with a great deal of time and energy dedicated to identifying the right targets not just good targets.
